Job Description

Tenancy Management Officer Position Summary:

As a Tenancy Management Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain safe, secure, and sustainable tenancies. You will work alongside tenants, support providers, and community partners to deliver respectful, person-centred housing services that create real and lasting impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading not-for-profit housing provider and contribute to building inclusive, thriving communities where people feel secure, supported, and empowered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tenancy process, including allocations and inspections, documentation, and exit planning.

They will also work collaboratively with support providers to address complex needs and sustain tenancies, monitor rent payments, and manage arrears with fairness and consistency.

Additionally, they will promote inclusive, safe, and welcoming housing environments and build effective partnerships with external support agencies and safety networks.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of Central Queenslanders and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

They will also be able to identify and embed solutions, work effectively in a high-performance framework, and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on program delivery and outcomes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Real Estate Salesperson Certificate or Certificate IV in Community Services: A relevant qualification or experience in community services or real estate salesperson is essential for this role.
* Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, are critical for success in this position.
* Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: The ability to identify and embed solutions, think critically, and analyze data to inform decision-making is also essential.
* Time Management and Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, are necessary for this role.
* Compliance and Governance: Familiarity with compliance and governance requirements, including Blue Card and Yellow Card checks, is also required.
