JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Maintenance Planning and Administration Manager Role:
As the Maintenance Planning and Administration Manager you will be responsible for managing the various fleet maintenance planning and fleet administration activities that underpins the safe and effective running of our national fleet. Your teams will help deliver services and support to the highest of standards, helping lower costs of fleet ownership through economies of scale.
You’ll be responsible for developing and leading a broader team that is capable, motivated, uncompromising, and enthusiastic about understanding, and meeting our customers needs. You’ll also manage 3rd party supplier engagement and compliance standards.
What you’ll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):
* Drive superior maintenance standards, particularly relating to 3rd party vendors
* Engage and onboard 3rd party maintenance vendors to support our operational fleet
* Work in conjunction with the National Fleet managers to resolve any service/ compliance issues with 3rd party vendors, to deliver safe compliant cost effective solutions
* Develop new processes and systems of work that are more efficient and enhance the customer experience
* Oversee the timely and accurate management of fleet maintenance planning and fleet administration service teams including:
* Creation of work orders and purchase orders for 3rd party suppliers
* Service record compliance standards Labour cost recovery in workshops
* Fleet master data creation and maintenance
* Fleet support services: Registrations, fuel cards, fines and infringements etc.
* Invoice creation and billing
* Reconciliation and resolving any 3rd party suppliers issues/disputes
What you’ll bring to the role:
* 10+ years experience in leadership roles, managing large and diverse teams
* Extensive experience in managing outsourced providers, particularly maintenance environments
* Experience with Heavy Vehicle Fleet on road compliance. E.g., maintenance/registration/permits
* Commercial/accounting acumen – particularly AP/AR experience
* Demonstrated ability and passion for delivering service and operational excellence via documented processes.
