About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services provide specialist mental health and substance care to residents in Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas. The services are located in each area with Rockhampton as the principal centre.
The administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016 is based in Rockhampton and there are acute adult inpatient facilities located here as well as a Adult Step Up Step Down facility in Gladstone and a Community Care Unit in Rockhampton.
The services work closely with local hospitals, other mental health and alcohol and other drugs teams, primary health providers and private sector service providers to reduce mental illness symptoms and facilitate recovery.
About the role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Clinical Liaison Officer. As a Clinical Liaison Officer, you will provide clinical expertise to support the delivery of high-quality services and leadership to achieve better health outcomes for adolescents and young people aged 12-25 years.
* You will work across service boundaries between Child and Youth and Adult Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs to decrease transitional service gaps.
* You will improve timely access to multidisciplinary youth mental health and alcohol and other drugs treatment and care for adolescents and young people aged 12-25 years.
* You will strengthen clinical pathways to ensure seamless and streamlined transition between headspace and Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
* You will establish a collaborative pathway between headspace and Central Queensland Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs clinicians to deliver effective brief interventions to clients.
To be successful in this role, you will hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following fields: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Registered Nurse.

We offer a total remuneration package of up to $82,105 per annum, comprised of an hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 per hour, employer superannuation contribution and leave loading.
