* Immediate start - initial 3 month contract
* Based near Croydon Park - parking on-site
* Circa $60-70 per hour + super
Role
* Conduct thorough safety audits of the new warehouse facility, including layout, equipment, storage systems, and operational workflows.
* Identify potential hazards related to material handling, machinery, fire safety, emergency exits, and general working conditions.
* Review and assess compliance with relevant OH&S legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
* Develop a detailed safety action plan with prioritised recommendations and implementation timelines.
* Collaborate with warehouse management and staff to understand operational processes and safety concerns.
* Prepare comprehensive written reports documenting findings, risks, and corrective measures.
* Provide guidance on safety training requirements for warehouse personnel.
* Recommend necessary signage, PPE, and safety equipment.
* Ensure proper documentation of all safety procedures and protocols.
About You
* Relevant safety qualification (Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent).
* Proven experience in warehouse or logistics safety management is essential.
* Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and standards.
* Experience conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
* Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
* Strong communication skills to engage with staff at all levels.
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Experience with warehouse relocation or new facility setup.
* Knowledge of forklift operations, racking systems, and material handling safety.
