The Opportunity
Be part of shaping the future of urban living at Stockland.
We're entering a new chapter and we are genuinely excited to welcome people who want to help shape it.
Over the past few months, Our Head of Safety has been working with the team at Stockland to define a new Safety strategy.
It's not just about systems and compliance, it's about building a culture of care, accountability and long-term impact.
This is a transformative piece of work and now we're building a team to bring it to life.
We're seeking a Senior WHS Business Partner to lead safety strategy and culture across our Apartments and Urban Communities portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to influence how safety is embedded into the design, development, and delivery of vibrant, high-density living spaces and mixed-use developments that shape the future of our cities.
This role is ideal for a strategic WHS professional who thrives in dynamic, complex environments and is passionate about raising the bar in safety.
While there are no direct reports initially, you'll play a pivotal role in influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to drive a proactive, risk-based safety culture.
Your tasks will include:
Partnering with senior stakeholders to embed a proactive, risk-based safety culture
Leading WHS strategy and initiatives across urban and apartment projects
Providing expert guidance on WHS compliance, systems, and continuous improvement
Influencing design and delivery to ensure safety is embedded from the ground up
No direct reports initially, but high visibility and strategic influence
To be successful in this role you:
Bring extensive WHS experience in high-density urban and vertical build projects, ideally with billion-dollar or complex multiphase developments preferred
Have strong technical knowledge of design integration and construction safety, with the ability to influence design teams and external partners
Demonstrate confident, influential leadership with the ability to drive cultural change and manage competing stakeholder priorities
Are passionate about raising the bar in safety and driving innovation
Have experience working across multiple principal contractors and complex delivery models
Hold a Diploma or Degree in WHS, Environmental Management, or a related technical field
Bring experience from high-risk industries such as high rise construction, infrastructure, energy, or mining
Are skilled in serious incident investigations, crisis response, and implementing WHS systems
