Role Summary
A ServiceNow Order Management for Telecommunications (OMT) Architect with implementation experience. Business strategy with technical execution, designing complex, automated workflows that span product modeling, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This role ensures that OMT applications are scalable, adhere to best practices, and integrate seamlessly with Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Field Service Management (FSM), and external systems.
Required Skills & Experience
* Deep understanding of ServiceNow OMT, TNI, and FSM modules.
* Experience in catalog modeling and product specification design.
* Expertise in IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP API for third-party integrations.
* Proficiency in designing scoped applications.
* Knowledge of CSDM framework.
* TMF API knowledge is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Order Management Design: Design of product, service, and resource orders, ensuring efficient decomposition and orchestration of customer orders.
* Integration with TNI and FSM: Implementation involves integrating OMT with Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI) to map OMT actions and service specifications to Change Models. This includes automating work order creation for field services during order fulfillment.
* Architectural Models: Implementation often utilizes domain separation to segregate data across customer lines, or application extension to build custom, scoped applications within the ServiceNow framework.
* Decision Tables & Automation: Use of decision builders to map product, service, and resource specifications to specific work order templates and workflows.
* Data Modeling: Aligning OMT structures with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to ensure a solid foundation for data and process integration.
* Define Architecture: Designing the product catalog, service models, and integration points.
* Establish Foundation: Utilizing ServiceNow TSM (Telecom Service Management) best practices.
* Automate Processes: Implementing workflows for orchestration using tools like Itential for ServiceNow OMT to connect with network inventory.
* Governance & Optimization: Managing technical debt and ensuring the implementation follows ServiceNow platform standards.
