About Us
Spar Express Yamanto is a locally owned and operated convenience store dedicated to providing friendly service, quality products, and a welcoming experience for our community. We're looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations and support the management team in running the business efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
* Supervise and motivate team members to maintain excellent customer service standards
* Assist in managing stock levels, ordering, and inventory control
* Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and product displays meet brand standards
* Handle cash management, POS operations, and daily reconciliation
* Assist in rostering, staff training, and ensuring compliance with workplace policies
* Monitor sales performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
* Step in to manage the store independently when required

* Previous retail or convenience store experience (supervisory or management experience preferred)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
* Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
* Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed
