Overview

The City of Charles Sturt is undergoing exciting transformation – from the renewal of strategic nodes and main streets to the adaptive reuse of industrial land and community assets. As our Strategic Property and Precinct Planner, you'll lead innovative projects that shape the future of our city.


Responsibilities

* Drive precinct master planning and strategic property initiatives that deliver vibrant, sustainable places.
* Champion urban design responses that enhance community wellbeing and align with sustainability goals.
* Partner with stakeholders across government, industry, and community to bring bold, people-focused projects to life.

Your work will directly contribute to revitalised places, activated precincts, and shared community infrastructure that reflects our vision for a sustainable and liveable city.


About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Urban & Regional Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Strategic Infrastructure Planning, or Project Management.
* Demonstrated experience in precinct and master planning, urban design, and property redevelopment.
* Strong knowledge of strategic property management, investment strategies, and placemaking.
* Skills in spatial and digital planning tools, with the ability to translate data into innovative design outcomes.
* A collaborative, values-driven approach with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* A current driver's licence and the flexibility to attend some after-hours meetings

The Details

The position is offered on a 6 month part-time fixed term basis (0.6 FTE) and is classified at Level 7, with a salary range of $123,152 - $130,596 per annum (pro-rata) + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
