Dunkeld State School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Manager to manage school operations. You will work within well-defined guidelines to provide advice and offer solutions to key stakeholders (external and internal) on business related problems (e.g. human resources, finance and facilities management), and have responsibility for autonomously delivering on priorities, seeking expert advice, adapting processes, problem solving and providing solutions according to clear outcomes, with regular guidance by the Principal. This is a temporary part‐time position (0.35 FTE or 25 hours per fortnight until 26 June 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
As the Business Manager you will be responsible for the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing corporate services and administrative support to the Principal. The Business Manager reports to the Principal or nominated delegate.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily school office operations autonomously, including administration, correspondence, record‐keeping, and effective use of systems (e.g. OneSchool) to support reporting and processes.
* Lead and supervise school support staff, including workload allocation, performance monitoring, workforce planning, and recruitment, induction, and training.
* Oversee staffing administration processes such as timesheets, leave, rosters, and relief arrangements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Support financial and resource management by assisting with budgeting, administering day‐to‐day finances, and coordinating the maintenance of school assets, facilities, and technology.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and ensure corporate services align with policy, compliance, and legislative requirements.
