Our core business is ultra-high mobility, wheeled vehicles and we are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a range of vehicles from 450kg to 12T GVM which are currently in service with the Australian and NZ Army. About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Field Service Representative for Supacat's workshop in East Arm and Holtze, to provide critical on-site technical support for our specialized HMT fleet. This is a front-line role where you will be the face of the company, ensuring the operational readiness of advanced defense vehicles through expert maintenance, repair, and mentorship. You will act as a technical authority, working with considerable independence to deliver exceptional support to our key defense contracts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Expertise:
· Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and technical advice for designated contracts at customer locations.
· Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical guidance to end-users through approved work order management systems.
· Conduct maintenance as the technical authority on the Supacat HMT fleet, ensuring strict adherence to approved procedures and Defense Technical Regulations.
· Ensure all work is documented and reported to the highest regulatory standards.
Leadership & Development:
· Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethics in all activities.
· Ensure your own continued professional development to maintain and advance technical competencies.
Operational Excellence:
· Execute all tasks in a safe, professional manner, representing the company to customers and stakeholders
· Work within established business processes and tools to ensure quality and consistency.
· Support business continuity by performing limited Fleet Manager functions once trained.
· Provide support to the wider admin and operational teams as required.
· Assist with sales and marketing activities by demonstrating technical capability and customer commitment.
Qualification & Experience:
· Trade qualification in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or related discipline, with significant post-qualification experience.
· Proven experience in a field service, maintenance, or technical advisory role, preferably within defense, automotive, heavy machinery, or related high-compliance industry.
· Strong understanding of and commitment to safe work practices and technical compliance regimes.
· Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and stakeholders.
· Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at customers locations.
· Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defense Security Clearance.
