Woods & Co Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a leading hospitality group to find an experienced Area Chef to support and elevate kitchen operations across a portfolio of high-performing venues.
This is a hands‐on leadership role overseeing multiple kitchens, working closely with Head and Sous Chefs to ensure consistent food quality, strong compliance and exceptional guest experience across every venue.
You'll be the go‐to leader for kitchen standards, training and development, while also supporting menu rollouts, refurbishments and operational improvements. This role suits a chef who thrives on variety, leadership and high‐impact kitchen operations.

What do you do?
Lead and support Head & Sous Chefs across multiple venues
Drive consistent food quality, presentation and service standards
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, stock control and SOPs
Support menu rollouts, development and seasonal updates
Step in for kitchen leadership cover when required
Coach and develop kitchen teams to lift performance and capability
Monitor labour, cost control, wastage and stock performance
Work with venue teams to improve kitchen efficiency and profitability
Support refurbishments, new openings and operational change initiatives
Ensure strong communication between BOH, FOH and management teams
What do you need?
Minimum 2+ years in a senior kitchen leadership role
Strong experience across high‐volume, multi‐venue or premium hospitality operations
Solid understanding of food cost control, stock management and labour efficiency
Confident leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability
Excellent knowledge of food safety, compliance and kitchen operations
Hands‐on chef who leads from the front and maintains high standards under pressure
Formal cookery qualifications and Food Safety certification
