This is a permanent opportunity to join a production-focused site with solid technical leadership, robust operational targets and long-term stability.

* Develop mine plans focusing on longwall operations and contribute to board & pillar planning where required.
* Support efficient coal recovery, monitor performance and identify cost-saving and productivity improvements.
* Deliver input into infrastructure, ventilation and development sequences to maintain safe and productive operations.
* Work cross-functionally with geotechnical, ventilation, safety and scheduling teams to deliver integrated mine plans.
* Ensure all work meets QLD coal mining regulations and highest safety standards.
* Drive technical improvements and contribute to better planning processes through technology and innovation.

Requirements

* A degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in mining operations, preferably with exposure to underground coal mining.
* Expertise in mining software such as Surpac, Vulcan, AutoCAD.
* Strong focus on safety and compliance.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
