POSITION PURPOSEQueensland Ballet’s Visitor Experience Officers are integral in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of Queensland Ballet's front desk, providing key administrative support and exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. A role with dual functionality across the areas of visitor experience and administration, this role is a key member of the broader Queensland Ballet team, assisting the organisation to achieve its goals, maintain its reputation and exceed expectations, in alignment with its vision for creating magic and enriching lives.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for Queensland Ballet, providing exceptional customer service and general reception duties.Receive visitors, dance class and event participants to the building and ensure they are correctly registered.Manage incoming phone calls and email inboxes appropriately and efficiently.Coordinate and register all physical mail, couriers, and deliveries (incoming and outgoing).Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of QB’s data management processes, ensuring validity, privacy and accuracy of data.Process EFTPOS payments for various programs, events or merchandise.Conduct self-directed learning to ensure comprehensive and current knowledge, to accurately answer or direct enquiries about all Queensland Ballet programs, events and activities including entry requirements, program content, important dates, performance seasons, ticket enquiries etc.Safeguard, support and promote the wellbeing of the children involved with Chaperone duties as required.Undertake ushering duties, greeting patrons, checking tickets and ensuring patrons are shown to their seats, as quickly and efficiently as possible.SELECTION CRITERIADemonstrated organisational and time management skills, comfortable working with a high degree of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.Demonstrated highly developed written and oral skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to work effectively as a team member, possessing high level of interpersonal skills and exceptional administration skills to enable ease of negotiation, collaboration and problem solving with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Solutions focused with a demonstrated ability to remain calm and responsive to perform under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising quality outcomes.Demonstrated experience using databases, scheduling programs, rostering, venue management programs and general Microsoft Office packages to enable activities to be planned, prioritised and executed in a manner that ensures accuracy, and efficiency.Previous experience working within an arts organisation (desirable).Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (over 18 only) (desirable).This role requires a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) as a condition of employment.APPLICATION PROCESSPlease apply for this role via Seek including your CV and a Covering Letter.
