Your opportunity
In this Regional Communications Advisor role, you’ll be responsible for driving awareness of the value Dairy Australia brings to regions by delivering engaging, regionally relevant communications across South Australia and Western Australia.
Working closely with regional teams and national Marketing & Communications, you’ll plan and deliver content that reflects local farmer needs, regional priorities and emerging industry issues. From shaping communications plans to creating and effectively distributing compelling content including via local media, you’ll play a key role in connecting farmers with the services and insights that support their success.
This is a permanent part‑time role of 3 days per week. (These hours could be spread over 4 or 5 days. We are flexible and will work with you to understand what works best).
* Develop and deliver regional communications and content plans
* Create engaging and relevant content (articles, case studies, thought leader features)
* Plan and deliver effective communication on owned and earned channels (social media, email, local news media)
* Tailor messages to farmer needs, balancing national and regional priorities and emerging issues
* Coordinate freelance writers and local content contributors
* Engage with local media to pitch stories and coordinate response to enquiries
* Collaborate with local industry organisations and partners to extend reach of content.
About You
You’re a proactive communications professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and farmers to translate complex ideas into practical, farmer‑focused content. You bring:
* Solid experience in communications and / or marketing
* Strong writing and content development skills
* Ability to engage stakeholders and work across teams
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Self‑motivated, organised and proactive as this role will be working remotely
