About the Role

Seasons Living is seeking an experienced, hands-on Community Manager with strong leadership and operational management skills to oversee our Waterford West community.

Reporting to the Regional Community Manager, the Community Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the Retirement Community, including the management of employees, resident relationships, community financials, and oversight of key operational departments such as administration, hospitality, maintenance, facilities, and lifestyle.

The role is ideally suited to candidates with a background in property, hospitality or community management. We're looking for someone who will thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment and be committed to creating a warm, welcoming community for our residents.

The successful candidate will be relationship-driven, possess strong business acumen, and have a proven ability to lead teams and drive service excellence. This is a permanent full-time role working Monday-Friday.

Core Responsibilities:

* Manage human resources in a fair and financially responsible manner, ensuring effective recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance and performance management in alignment with Seasons policies and procedures.
* Ensure a high level of resident satisfaction by maintaining a safe, well-presented community and effectively managing all complaints.
* Collaborate with the Care Team to ensure positive outcomes for all residents.
* Oversee resident move-ins and departures, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
* Manage and monitor budget performance, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded and billed.
* Collaborate with the Sales and Business Development Consultant to ensure high levels of apartment occupancy.
* Collaborate with the Leasing Coordinator to oversee and manage rental tenancies in accordance with RTA legislation and Seasons procedures.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental obligations, including reporting, investigation and management of all community incidents.

* Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels to all stakeholders
* Effective computer and IT skills, including Office, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams.
* Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities, problem solve and work well under pressure in a changing environment.
* Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents' and their families.

Requirements

* Tertiary qualification in retirement villages, community services, property, or hospitality and/or equivalent relevant experience in a role.
* 5yrs+ experience in an operations-based leadership role managing people and budgets.
* Understanding of Retirement Villages Act and Residential Tenancies Act (desirable).
* Flexibility with hours when workload demands, across a 24/7, 365 day a year business.
* Unrestricted Australian working rights.
* Current national police check.
* First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
