Position Information
Richmond High School, situated in the Hawkesbury, is a comprehensive 7‐12 high school providing quality educational opportunities to a local enrolment stream, a support stream with 7 classes, an ag‐stem specialty stream and an ag‐stem selective stream.
Approximately 824 students are enrolled in 2026. This includes 53 students in the support unit, with 15% of our student body identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our school will continue to grow in coming years. The school is committed to excellence in teaching and learning where all students can succeed. Our staff are committed to explicit teaching, engaging HPGE learners and maintaining a caring, inclusive environment for all students. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, including a full range of academic core, elective and vocational courses. Our school has an extensive range of extracurricular activities and a supportive wellbeing program.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach English 7–12 and Drama 7‐12, with knowledge of curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements. Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within the English faculty and contribute to whole school and faculty priorities. Proven ability to embed explicit teaching and high‐quality teaching and learning programs, with effective assessment, that supports student growth across diverse learners from Stage 4‐6.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
