4 days on, 4 days off shifts - 5 weeks (190 hours) of annual leave

As a Trade Assistant at TCR, you will:
- Assist qualified mechanics in performing minor repairs and servicing of vehicles and equipment in a timely manner.
- Perform basic welding tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Receive, stock, pickup, and deliver spare parts.
- Pack freight and assist with freight deliveries.
- Assist with general yard/workshop and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Support store duties when required.
- Perform other general, non-trades services as needed.
- Promote a safety-first approach.
- Utilize a variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity to bring your knowledge and skills to the role.
- Work with multiple specialized GSE equipment.
Enjoy 5 weeks (190 hours) of annual leave plus 2 additional "Health and Happiness" leave days per year. Receive excellent mentorship and support.
To be successful in this role, you will have most of the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and develop.
- High school certificate or equivalent; one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Previous mechanical experience is highly desirable.
- Welding experience is highly regarded.
- Current national Manual “C” class driver’s license; and
- “MR” class driver’s license is desirable.
A strong focus on safety standards, good communication skills, proactiveness, curiosity, and a positive attitude are essential. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is also important.
