Crown Melbourne is seeking a strategic General Manager of Marketing to lead our implementation of marketing strategy and drive profitable revenue through impactful customer engagement. Working closely with and reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of Australia's most iconic entertainment brands.
About the Role
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring they align with Crown Melbourne's business objectives and brand positioning. You'll be responsible for translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, managing budgets effectively, and leveraging insights to optimize performance ROI.
You will also lead and develop a high‑performing marketing team, fostering collaboration and innovation to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll ensure marketing initiatives support broader commercial goals while upholding Crown's commitment to Crown PlaySafe and a strict compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Embed and execute the marketing strategies at a property level, delivering campaigns that enhance commercial outcomes, guest experiences, increase visitation, and strengthen customer loyalty.
* Develop and deliver marketing plans that include promotions, direct‑to‑member offers, and campaigns, with a strong focus on driving profitable Gaming, Hospitality and Entertainment revenue for Crown Melbourne.
* Collaborate with analytics team to leverage performance data and post‑campaign insights, optimising marketing mechanics and enhancing campaign effectiveness.
* Coach and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with organisational objectives.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across business to ensure cohesive execution.
* Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are prioritised to meet revenue and contribution growth targets.
What You'll Bring
* At least 10 years marketing leadership experience in a relevant field e.g. major hospitality or casino resort.
* Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
* Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies and plans, ensuring alignment of marketing investment to measurable outcomes.
* Ability to efficiently organise and prioritise resources to achieve objectives, targets and budgets with experience leading a high‑performance team.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
* A passion for creating exceptional customer experiences through innovative, results‑based marketing.
