This is a Cloud Engineer(DevOps) role with Brennan based in Canberra, ACT, AU Brennan Role Seniority - mid level More about the Cloud Engineer(DevOps) role at Brennan We are currently preparing response to an upcoming opportunity, and should we be successful we would be looking for potentially an experienced Cloud Engineer (DevOps) to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering a large-scale cloud enablement program. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing the migration of containerised workloads from on-premises environments to AWS. You will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and industry best practices. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, technical expertise in cloud automation, and the ability to work within an agile software development framework. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, validate, and support container migration workflows using AWS services. Develop and maintain automation pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment. Apply security controls and configurations in line with AWS best practices. Implement and maintain operational processes for patching, logging, monitoring, backups, and vulnerability scanning. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of container services into AWS. Work closely with cloud, platform, application support, and security teams to align infrastructure with program objectives. Essential Skills & Experience AWS & Containers: Experience with AWS services (ECR, ECS, EKS, Fargate) and on-premises platforms (Red Hat OpenShift), plus Amazon Inspector and Patch Manager. Cloud Architecture & Security: Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security controls, and the Well-Architected Framework. DevOps Expertise: CI/CD automation, source control, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and monitoring/logging for cloud-native apps. DevSecOps & Systems: Security integration in CI/CD, vulnerability management, Zero Trust, container refactoring, and Linux/Windows administration. Highly Desirable Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
