Chandler Macleod is seeking an enthusiastic WHS and EMS (Environmental) Coordinator to join our client based in Laverton. The role is to establish and assist in maintaining compliance issues.
Responsibilities include liaison with all relevant activities on the sites that could affect the sites operations, liaising with relevant management and staff to advise and assist in meeting statutory compliance in those areas of responsibility
The primary functions of this role, including but are not limited to;
* Establish and maintain compliance with Workplace Health Safety Management System and environmental standards.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders to advise and assist in meeting statutory compliance requirements.
* Report directly to the Site Operations Manager (Processing) with indirect reporting lines to the National WHS Coordinator.
* Collaborate with various teams including production, distribution, maintenance, and quality assurance.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in WHS and environmental management.
* Conduct thorough internal audits and coordinate external audits related to WHS and EMS.
* Represent the company's interests with insurers, claims agents, and other relevant service providers.
* Ensure reporting mechanisms to regulatory authorities are in place and comply with legislative requirements.
* Provide direction, leadership, and professional advice on WHS and EMS matters.
Your required competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)
Experience.
* Knowledge of WHS and EMS principles and regulations.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick and correct decisions.
* Experience in investigating workplace accidents/incidents/injuries.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
* Familiarity with Australian Standards AS4801 or ISO 45001.
* Ability to achieve departmental KPIs and meet guidelines.
Salary on offer for this role is $90K + superannuation.
