About the role:
We're seeking a L1 Quality Engineering Consultant to join our Adelaide practice.
You'll establish and develop growing expertise in quality engineering, independently planning and leading medium- to large-scale engagements under traditional and agile methodologies. You'll deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget, collect and report on metrics (KPIs, SLAs, budgets, schedules), and recommend or use the right tools for requirements, test management, automation and CI/CD. You'll build and mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, run risk workshops, escalate and resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of practices, assets and frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Functional Testing Responsibilities
* Architect and champion enterprise-wide test policies and strategies, aligning teams with client goals.
* Lead mid-to-high complexity test engagements across industries, running risk workshops and driving issue resolution.
* Mentor and energise test teams-defining best-in-class analysis, design, execution, and defect-triage practices.
* Track key metrics, enforce corrective actions, and relentlessly refine processes for peak efficiency.
Quality Engineering Responsibilities
* Design and implement end-to-end quality strategies, guiding large-scale engineering initiatives from requirements through release.
* Facilitate holistic quality risk workshops and secure senior stakeholder buy-in for product excellence.
* Act as a quality coach-embedding automation, continuous testing, inspections, and audits into every lifecycle phase.
* Champion optimisation, driving innovation and continuous improvement across teams and processes.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
* Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other project members
* Possess in-depth experience as a senior test engineer in all areas of the SDLC
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Strong test experience in all areas of the SDLC, including system, SIT or UAT
* Collaborating with developers, business analysts and users to understand testing needs and identify automation opportunities
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvements
* Possess a solid understanding of modern application deployment methodologies and cloud infrastructure
* Can effectively adapt to workload and issues to maintain momentum
