Hogans Hotel Cook
* Full Time We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our business on a full-time basis.
This position will require the candidate to be available across a 7-day roster In this role, you will take responsibility for rostering, menu planning; ordering and serve top quality food to patrons. Key Responsibilities will include:
* Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manger on costs/expenses
* Assisting with all aspects of food preparation
* Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands
* Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required
* Estimating of all restaurant costs including food, labour and incidentals
* Mentoring and training of junior staff as required
* Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times
* Assisting the Head Chef in planning Staff Rosters
* Adhering to all OH&S regulations and regular updating of policies as required Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen environment
* Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking
* Expertise in the hospitality sector
* Superior customer service focus
* Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele
* Flexible, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends
* Well-presented and professional
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised
