Job Title: Underground Mechanical Tradesperson
We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at Moolarben Coal mine, Australia's largest thermal coal producer.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. As an Underground Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, overhauling and maintaining mechanical infrastructure and plant and equipment at the mine.
You will work closely with the Engineering Department to achieve these objectives and collaborate with other teams to ensure effective maintenance and fault-finding work on Mechanical systems. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting regular inspections and monitoring of Mechanical equipment to ensure it remains in a safe and operational condition.
* Operating machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
* Providing support to the Shift Area Leader (Undermanager) and contributing to the overall success of the mine.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Relevant experience in Underground Coal Mining or Heavy Industry plant maintenance.
* A strong understanding of hydraulics and high-risk work licenses.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* A professional work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
