About the role

* The Senior Data Linkage Analyst is responsible for the delivery of high‐quality, production‐grade linked data assets that underpin CHeReL's services to NSW Government agencies and the research sector. The role is primarily accountable for the end‐to‐end construction of linkage data products, including entity resolution, probabilistic and deterministic record linkage, and large‐scale de‐duplication across heterogeneous source systems.
* The role will drive continuous improvement of data linkage platforms, algorithms, and operational workflows, and provide post‐delivery technical support and issue resolution. Key responsibilities include the design, development, and maintenance of automated and reproducible data pipelines; implementation of data standardisation, transformation, and validation frameworks; and execution of data quality, profiling, and cleansing processes to enable scalable, secure, and reliable data linkage and integration at enterprise scale.
* Manage the data linkage processes in the priority government projects and complex research projects
* Provide quality linkage results to assist in achieving project deliverables within agreed timeframes in accordance with the privacy law and relevant data custodian approval
* Provide expert advice, administration and technical support for clients of the NSW Health in relation to data requirements and specification, the data linkage and integration process and governance structures

Health Manager level 3, starting salary from $132,236 - $150,222 plus Super, with a 38‐hour work week.

What you will do

* Perform data linkage activities: Design, build, test and implement high performant systems and processes in controlled manner, mainly on Snowflake Cloud environment
* Quality Control: Assure the systems and processes built produce reliable outcomes. Play a pivotal role in the design, build of quality control metrics specific to data lifecycle processes for and monitoring and reporting purposes
* Maintain Data Security and Compliance: Undertake safe and secure use of available platforms and ensure safe coding practices are undertaken
* Manage work: Ensure projects assigned to you are delivered in agreed timelines
* Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders as needed
* Process Improvements: Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of new data linkage and data management and quality assurance methods to improve the quality and efficiency of the CHeReL's services

About you

* Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: Have relevant tertiary qualifications with demonstrated experience in working with data across various industries such as health, retail, and government
* Excellent Communication Skills: Show excellent written and oral communication skills, active listening, interpersonal and supervision abilities. Capable of effectively communicating with both technical and non‐technical personnel within and outside our business unit
* Ability to design, build tools and applications: Proven ability in using modern data management systems and software tools, for example, Snowflake Cloud, SQL Server, high-volume data processing, Python and use of version control tools like Git and familiarity with cloud computing. Experience with orchestration, documentation and some data modelling is essential
* High‐Level Analytical Thinking Skills: Have high‐level conceptual, evaluation, and analytical thinking skills. Capable of defining problems, analysing requirements, understanding population health information, and finding, addressing, and managing data quality issues
* Experience in Team Collaboration: Have experience collaborating with multi‐disciplinary teams on sensitive issues to achieve desired outcomes
* Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills for managing competing issues and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
