Our client is 100% Australian owned and operated, who's products are marketed worldwide. They have established themselves as a market leader in process and manufacturing. Due to growth, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their team in the Hunter Valley in this newly created role. This role involves transitioning an existing plant into a professional preventative maintenance program and developing a spare parts system to work hand in hand and provide ongoing support and coordination of work orders/spare parts
**The role**:
- Preparing preventative maintenance schedules for all assets.
- Coordinating with Production Planning on shutdown times and durations.
- Preparing maintenance schedules and work orders
- Identifying trends and opportunities to improve asset availability by analysis of manufacturing and engineering performance data.
- Planning and scheduling all day-to-day maintenance activities and resources utilising MEX.
- Assist with maintenance projects and other departmental duties, as required.
**What we're looking for**:
- Maintenance Planner experience
- Has experience with CMMS systems, preferably MEX (training can be provided If not)
- Fork licence preferred
- Tertiary qualification in engineer or a trade qualified (mechanical or electrical trades) is highly desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures; and computerised maintenance planning systems.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
