The Team:

* The LGH cardiology team encompasses the CCU, Cath Lab, non-invasive cardiology, CIED management, and cardiac rehabilitation. Our team consists of a diverse group of nurses, technicians, administrative staff, medical professionals, and allied health experts, all collaborating within a dynamic healthcare environment. As a major clinical teaching hospital, we work closely with UTAS and other institutions. Our integrated services focus on delivering exceptional healthcare, ultimately enhancing outcomes for our patients, our workforce, and the community.

The Role:

* Lead a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab : Take on a pivotal role overseeing staff and managing complex patient cases, ensuring high standards of care in a fast-paced environment, with direct responsibility for patient outcomes and team coordination.
* Autonomy & Accountability : Enjoy a high level of responsibility in overseeing patient care and team management, with the NUM based outside the unit, allowing you to take charge of day-to-day operations and decision-making, in conjunction with the Cardiology Nurse Navigator
* Challenging & Rewarding Environment : Thrive in a high-turnover unit where you’ll manage a diverse range of critically ill patients, enhancing your skills in complex care delivery and leadership

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 4 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

* Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
