Job Description
This Sydney based Business Development Manager's main remit will be to close new business projects within key NSW Government departments, such as DFSI, Services NSW, eHealth, Transport & Education. You will be uitilising high performing teams across functional and matrixed environments like Transformation & Change Programmes (Agile & Digital), IoT, PMO, Cyber Security, Big Data, Data Management, all things Cloud and so on.
* Leading the pursuit in identifying, qualifying and closing projects within NSW Government - in particular, DFSI, Services NSW, eHealth, Transport & Education sectors
* Hunting and growing business within this target market – proactively, strategically and collaboratively develop and execute a business development plan
* The ability to sell differentiating solutions and service offerings to win repeatable work
Qualifications
It goes without saying you are a well-connected, well-networked BDM within NSW Government with significant stakeholder engagement and current contacts at Senior Executive level (Secretary, Deputy Secretary, CEO, CFO and CIO) with key clusters and agencies.
You are looking for an opportunity to join a disruptor and want to build a highly profitable, well-supported business unit in NSW.
* Experience selling Professional IT Services, such as DevOps, Strategic Data Management, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation, Agile Transformation, Program & Project Delivery, Applications Services, and Change Management is required
* 5+ years of experience in strategic business development from within the Australian IT Consulting or Systems Integrator to the NSW Government sector
* Able to utilise your existing Secretary, Deputy Secretary, CEO, CFO and CIO contacts to generate new revenues streams
* A targeted, strategic and results-oriented approach coupled with demonstrated success in independently hunting and growing new clients
* Self-motivated, imaginative, driven and ambitious
