About the role:This is a hands-on Postgre Database Administrator position within a defence-aligned, high-security environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimising mission-critical databases and server infrastructure that underpin some of Australia’s most important technology ecosystems.
The role is about managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB environments, ensuring operational stability across Windows and Linux systems, and supporting secure, compliant infrastructure performance.
You’ll collaborate with senior engineering and leadership teams to deliver resilient, high-availability solutions while adhering to strict cybersecurity and compliance standards. About you:4-6 years’ experience in database and systems administration, ideally in secure or enterprise environmentsStrong proficiency with PostgreSQL and working knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databasesFamiliarity with backup, disaster recovery, and system monitoring toolsProficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate and optimise workflowsStrong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and access managementExperience in defence, government, or critical infrastructure projects is highly regardedNV2 clearance
