We require an assessor to undertake Ongoing Support Assessments (OSA) and Supported Wage System (SWS) assessments in Canberra and the surrounding region (this includes Queanbeyan and, depending on ability to travel, may also occasionally include Goulburn).
Applicants must have relevant assessment and disability experience, as outlined below, to be considered. While being a current OSA/SWS assessor is preferred, this is not essential as training can be provided to the right applicant.
There is no guarantee of a minimum amount of work as this is dependent on departmental allocations in each geographical area and cannot be predicted. This work will be paid at a fixed price per assessment.
**Essential Requirements**
To be successful, you **must** hold minimum qualifications and experience as required by the Department of Social Services for the National Panel of Assessors. These include:
- A minimum of two years practical experience in disability employment or related sectors.
- A minimum of a diploma or higher-level qualification in one or more of the following fields: psychology; rehabilitation counsellor; vocational training; or other diploma or higher-level qualification which the Department of Social Services considers is relevant to providing the required Assessment Services.
**Interested?**
If you are considered potentially suitable for the role we will contact you to discuss your experience further.
As a contract assessor, the successful applicant/s will be required to hold a registered ABN and provide a copy of a certificate of currency for PL/PI insurances and a current Police Check/Working with Children check prior to allocation of any work.
