Run by a dedicated parent committee, this centre plays a meaningful role within the community. Our client is seeking a Centre Director who will lead from the front – someone visible, hands‐on, and deeply connected to both the team and families.
You'll lead a team of 18 passionate educators, bringing strong leadership, structure, and care to an environment that values relationships and community.

The Role
Supported by an Assistant Director, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Lead, inspire and support a team of educators to deliver a safe, nurturing and high-quality learning environment
* Maintain a visible and engaged presence within the centre, supporting educators day‐to‐day while building strong relationships with families and the community
* Partner with the Educational Leader to deliver best‐practice programs aligned to frameworks
* Oversee enrolments, occupancy and funding, ensuring the centre is operating sustainably
* Manage budgets and financial performance, with a strong understanding of operational priorities
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures
* Balance people leadership with operational delivery – prioritising effectively in a dynamic environment
About You
* You are a people‐first leader who builds trust quickly, leads with integrity, and brings both operational discipline and warmth to your approach
* You are community‐minded, with a strong appreciation for the role this centre plays locally
* Your leadership style is visible, hands‐on, and collaborative
* You bring strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, enrolments, and make sound operational decisions
* You have an eye for improvement, streamlining processes and operational efficiencies
* You bring a solid understanding of the new child safety laws/child safe standards, VEYLDF, EYLF and NQS.
* You hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Advantageous but not essential)
