The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.
What we do is integral to the Government's decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer's money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.
We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.
We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.
The work area
This role sits within the Infrastructure Strategy and Policy (ISP) Directorate which is part of the Office of the Deputy Under Treasurer business unit. The ISP team is responsible for monitoring and providing advice on the delivery of the State Government's record asset investment program and is the custodian of the Strategic Asset Management Framework. We work closely with Department of Premier and Cabinet, as well as the infrastructure delivery agencies of Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure and Housing and Works.

* Contribute to the preparation and presentation of evidence-based advice to enable informed decision making.
* Research, analyse and evaluate quantitative data to assess policies, programs and projects.
* Monitor and analyse economic, budgetary, financial and other data releases ( labour market conditions, health performance statistics).
We currently have one (1) permanent full-time position available for filling within the ISP team.
