We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic procurement professional to join our team as a Procurement Officer. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement and contract management, with strong skills in negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting time-critical procurement activities, contract administration, reporting, and financial administration. They will provide timely, professional, and strategic procurement and contract management advice to staff across the organisation.
The Procurement Officer will develop and implement processes for the procurement of goods, services, construction and works. They will work closely with suppliers to ensure operations are compliant and cost-effective, while also contributing to preparing and managing tenders.
This role requires a skilled procurement professional with experience in government settings and a strong understanding of probity, governance, and legislative compliance.
Key capabilities include high-level written and verbal communication, critical analysis, and the ability to manage multiple procurement activities within defined timeframes. A proactive and organised approach to stakeholder engagement is essential, along with the ability to navigate procurement frameworks and rapidly acquire relevant policy knowledge.
