**Job Description**:
**The Opportunity**
We currently have an exciting permanent, new created, APAC Transport Logistics Manager role to join our dynamic team located in St Marys, NSW.
In the role, your goal will be to identify process and cost improvements across the operations division in relation to inbound and outbound freight. To plan the sea and air freight needs of APAC, build the necessary capacity with Transport Logistics and monitor optimum utilization of the established capacity and provide freight estimates to finance regularly.
**You will see yourself responsible for**:
- Developing, driving and implementing effective and cost-effective transport logistics solutions for aftermarket supply chain.
- Managing relationships with all transport logistics suppliers covering freight forwarders, freight carriers and customs agents for both domestic and international transport logistics for all modes of transport.
- Establishing effective and transparent cost reporting for both current and future inbound and outbound freight costs and provide precise estimates to finance.
- Playing a key role in strategy formation, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders as well as leading cross functional teams in the development of business -wide operational strategies.
- Governing, managing and executing development projects.
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- 2-3 years proven experience within a leadership role
- 3-5 years individual or combined experience in transportation operations, distribution operations, and analytics within a global transport logistics environment
- Strong investigative, interpersonal, communicative, organisational influence and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task working as a team champion with peers and subordinates as well as team members among senior leadership.
- Solid Excel and database skills is required.
