Overview
Rockhampton Airport seeks an Airport Reporting / Works Safety / Maintenance Officer to monitor, inspect, report, and maintain aeronautical safety and security facilities, ensuring the safety of all airport operations.
Responsibilities
You'll conduct routine runway inspections, monitor the airside environment, manage emergency response, wildlife hazard mitigation and incident reporting. You will also maintain security and safety equipment, perform light plant operations, assist with incident management and support audit and compliance processes.
Qualifications
* Australian Citizenship and Police Background Check (required for an Aviation Security Identity Card)
* Aviation Security Identity Card and Rockhampton Airport Drug and Alcohol Management Plan compliance
* Queensland Firearms Licence (Category A, B, C, and H) and Senior First Aid Certificate
* Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency
* Experience operating light plant (mowers, tractors, slashers, brush cutters, gardening tools)
* Ability to interpret manuals, technical drawings and written instructions; computer literacy
* Strong organisational, time‐management and communication skills with attention to detail and teamwork
* Exceptional customer service skills – liaise with diverse stakeholders
* Proven experience in maintenance, safety and security
* Hands‐on with equipment – light plant and machinery
* Aviation know‐how – previous experience in the aviation sector
* Collaborative team player – knowledge sharing and teamwork
