Your new role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance Fitter to join our client's team. This exciting role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the training and development of apprentices. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations, contributing to a positive team environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high standards, this role is perfect for you. Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preventative maintenance on plant and equipment. Troubleshoot and rectify equipment problems. Maintain positive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Manage spares inventory and costs. Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures. Comply with safety processes and programs.
What you'll need to succeed
Trade qualifications as a Fitter & Turner (Cert 3 in Mechanical Trade)Ideally you have a minimum of 3 years in an FMCG environment (Food, Drink, Packaging etc).Experience in maintenance planning and continuous improvement.Proficiency in equipment installation, operation, and repair.Strong fault-finding & diagnostic abilities.Good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.What you'll get in return
