Duties & Responsibilities:Communications & Engagement:Work in partnership with Relationship Managers, Sales team and Customer Solutions specialists to identify andstructure credit solutions for business customers both at acquisition and through out the life of the borrower.Ability to conduct phone interviews with applicants and brokers to discuss loan applications including negotiation ofkey criteria to ensure Shift's position is not compromised.Build meaningful relationships with peers, internal stakeholders and other teams to support business performanceand maximise Shift's value proposition.Clearly communicate to customers and brokers questions required to make decisions and final decisions made in aprofessional manner.Supporting Relationship Managers, Sales team and Customer Solutions specialists and brokers to workshoptransactions and conducting account reviews to ensure the best solutions can be achieved within guidance and appetite.Financial AnalysisProvide productive and effective financial analysis and credit risk assessment through performing financial analysis of customer bank statements and financials to recommend or approve limits which are aligned to Shift's credit approach and appetite for lending which is within Delegated Lending Authority.Accurate recording of key risk factors within credit assessment to clearly identify risks and provide mitigation to support decision making.Detailed assessment of applicant's profile, industry risks and financial position from information to hand.Ensuring correct products and services are applied to customer applicationAbility to prepare sound credit assessments for recommendation to higher delegation holders for decision.Communications & Engagement:Ability to conduct phone interviews with applicants and brokers to discuss loan applications which may include negotiation of key criteria to ensure Shift's position is not compromised.Build meaningful relationships with peers (inside and outside team), internal stakeholders and other teams to support business performance and maximise Shift's value proposition.Clearly communicate to customers and brokers questions required to make decisions and final decisions made in a professional mannerCompliance:Adherence to Shift's Credit Underwriting standards and guidelines as well as compliance with policy and standards expected regarding reporting and documentation.Ensure data integrity in all core systemsEnsure all compliance training is up to dateStakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement:Provide coaching and support to Relationship Managers and Sales teams to support their upskillingIdentify potential process / service enhancements to improve team outputs.Experience & Qualifications required:Experience assessing commercial credit based on financial statements, bank statements and non-traditional dataExperience working with data in risk or analytics role advantageous but not essentialExperience with finance products embedded in Point-of-sale environment is advantageous but not essentialAttention to detail underpinned by intuitive investigative skills ability to make decision in a logical and considered wayAbility to communicate respectfully and in a succinct and informative manner with external and internal stakeholders.Tertiary qualifications preferredPreviously held DLA for commercial / business lendingBusiness Acumen and sound knowledge of SME market#LI-Hybrid
