About the role
Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is a community‑based, not‑for‑profit organisation that delivers programmes to assist individuals and families. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Coordinator to join our Children's Contact Service (CCS) team in Hobart, commencing early in 2026. The Coordinator will provide leadership and expert advice to support CCS staff on day‑to‑day operational matters, contributing to high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient CCS staffing and workflow.
* Monitor service delivery and assist the Manager in developing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate case notes, prepare subpoenas for court, manage staff rosters, schedule clients, and plan oversight.
* Take a leadership role alongside the Manager, Team Leader, and Senior Practitioner, monitoring staff performance and assisting with professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Provide excellent written and verbal communication to ensure clarity and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Family Law, Family Dispute Resolution, Education, or a related field, coupled with relevant experience.
* Experience working with, or knowledge of the impacts of separated families including those impacted by family violence.
* In‑depth understanding of the impact of family separation and conflict on children, and proven experience working to uphold the best interests of children.
* High‑level knowledge of child development principles, mandatory reporting obligations, family violence dynamics, and suicide intervention strategies.
* Experience in leading other staff and small teams.
* Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
