About Us
At be, we do things differently. Based in the beautiful hinterland town of Maleny, on Jinibara Country, (just 30 mins from the Sunshine Coast and 1 hour from Brisbane), our neurodiversity-affirming clinic supports children through connection, co-regulation, play, and real-world functional growth using the DIR Floortime model.
Our team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, and allied health assistants work together to deliver meaningful, respectful, relationship-based supports. We also share our clinic with a visiting psychologist and paediatrician, enhancing the wrap-around support available to families.
Why Join Us?
Our Approach
* We focus on play-based, child-led supports that prioritise relationships and emotional safety.
* All team members are trained in DIR Floortime, with support to complete advanced training pathways.
* We actively listen to and learn from the neurodivergent community to continually reflect and improve our practice.
Our Culture
* We are values-driven, flexible, team-oriented, and fun
* Weekly professional development and case conferencing is embedded into our calendar.
* We prioritise supervision, mentoring, and shared reflection.
Our Community
* We believe in finding new ways to support families beyond the therapy room.
* We run free community playgroup for families with young children.
* We're developing Humble Grounds - a not-for-profit coffee hut where 100% of profits go toward improving access to allied health and medical services for local families. (It's a bonus we will have a fully functional coffee hut on site too)
Our Location
* Maleny offers a peaceful, community-minded lifestyle with rolling green hills, vibrant culture, and a strong sense of connection.
* Our clinic is designed with large, flexible spaces, including a purpose-built outdoor play area (with a large sandpit, tree swing, cubby, and vege garden) that encourages creativity and regulation.
