My client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee an established insurance portfolio across Mackay and surrounding regions. This is a rare opportunity to manage a diverse rural and commercial book, with strong support, flexibility, and career growth in a collaborative team environment.

What will you be doing?
* Manage and grow an established portfolio of rural, SME, and commercial clients
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
* Identify new business opportunities and drive portfolio growth
* Negotiate with underwriting partners to secure the best outcomes for clients
* Maintain compliance requirements and manage documentation efficiently
* Collaborate with internal support teams to deliver exceptional client service
What do you need?
* Proven experience managing a commercial or SME insurance portfolio
* Farm or rural insurance knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
* Tier 1 Broking qualification (mandatory )
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work independently and manage a book of business effectively
* High attention to detail with solid insurance technical knowledge
