Job Title: Electronic Equipment Trades Worker
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our team. This role involves working with electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems, IP camera systems, and other related systems.
Main Responsibilities
* Inspect sites to determine security requirements and discuss findings with clients
* Perform installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including upgrades and additions to increase functionality and usability
* Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems, performing repairs as necessary
* Coordinate with management and other trades to complete projects efficiently
* Maintain operational procedures and complete relevant documentation
* Ensure safety protocols are followed and report any hazards or unsafe practices
* Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory levels
Key Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will have intermediate knowledge of computer networks, information technology, and structured cabling. They should be able to select the correct type of cable and install it in both plenum and non-plenum rated environments.
Solving Problems
Candidates should be able to solve problems in DC circuits, amplifiers, digital sub-systems, and resonance circuits. Additionally, they should have experience with basic electronic communications systems, signal paths, blocks, simple modulation concepts, and fault-finding in comms sub-systems.
Computer Software
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Office 365, and control/embedded style programming is required. Knowledge of HTTP and routing is also beneficial.
Essential Qualifications
* Certificate III in Electronics and Communication
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field in Australia
