Chicho Gelato, are a family owned artisan gelato producer. Over the last 10 years Chicho Gelato has become an institution in Northbridge, Fremantle and Mount Lawley, home of our purpose built production kitchen. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team in Mount Lawley.
Role & Responsibilities
* Efficiently produce high quality gelato daily, via the execution of Chicho's specific recipes and traditional Italian production methods.
* Manufacture of gelato pastry additions, gelato cakes and Italian pastries. Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and innovate new pastry recipes, flavours, and presentations to meet customer demands and trends
* Oversee the pastry kitchen, including assisting the production manager in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
* Maintain Food Safety and OH&S procedures and practices.
* Collaborate with your manager to create new product lines and gelato flavours.
* Foster a positive and supportive team environment with a commitment to creativity, and a
passion for excellence.
* Full time hours up to 40 hours per week, able to work weekends.
Requirements for the Role:
Training will be provided, though the following candidate should have:
* Certificate IV in Patisserie or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years pastry experience.
* Gelato making experience.
* Attention to detail - you must be able to demonstrate that you can follow exact recipes,
processes, and procedures always.
* Commitment - we are looking for a long-term player with the opportunity to grow
within the team.
* Excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
* All candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
