Role Details
We're seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join Visy Cell at our Truganina site. This permanent role is working a 3 day per week 12-hour roster from 6:00am to 6:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. This is a hands-on role in a new production environment, where you will play a key part in keeping the line running safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
Responsibilities
1. Operate, monitor and adjust machinery to achieve safe and efficient production outcomes.
2. Troubleshoot faults and respond to operational issues to minimise downtime.
3. Complete visual checks and quality inspections to ensure output meets required standards.
4. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance.
5. Work closely with the broader team to keep production moving in a safe and collaborative way.
Qualifications
6. Previous machine operating experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
7. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
8. Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions on the line.
9. Experience with conveyors or continuous-flow production equipment will be highly regarded.
10. A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
