Veterinary Nurse - Greencross North Parramatta
Greencross Vets in North Parramatta is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team.
As a vital member of our veterinary practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and support to our clients.
Your new role :
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
Administer medications and provide post-operative care to patients
Conduct laboratory tests and analyse samples
Monitor and care for hospitalised animals
Educate clients on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventative health measures
Maintain accurate medical records and manage appointment schedules
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary clinic
Provide emotional support to pet owners during difficult times
Participate in continuing education to stay current with veterinary nursing practices
Role requirements :
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
Proficiency in administering medications and assisting with surgical procedures
Strong knowledge of laboratory testing and interpretation of results
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Thorough understanding of animal health, welfare, and veterinary clinic procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Compassionate approach to animal care and client relations
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is highly desirable
