Community Nurse / Trainer
Akadia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code and a registered NDIS Provider (ID: focused on the provision of high-quality training and specialised nursing services to the aged care and disability sectors.
Akadia Community Care develops, delivers and provides the ongoing monitoring of care plans (including requisite staff training) for a participant with complex care needs.
Due to increasing demand for our specialised health care training in the disability sector, we are now recruiting for a Community Care Nurse / Trainer based in Toowoomba.
The Role
The Community Care Nurse / Trainer plays a pivotal role in training support workers in the skills required to provide excellent care in the community.
The Community Care Nurse / Trainer may also be required to provide direct care to meet the complex needs of the client through clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care service provision.
This role would suit a Registered or experienced Enrolled Nurse who is seeking family friendly hours and the chance to make a difference to the lives of people living with a disability.
The ability to liaise and effectively communicate with the participant and their support network is important.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
* Current registration with AHPRA
* Driver's license and reliable car
* Clinical experience in a community nursing setting
* Competent in using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and well-developed computer skills, including the use of tablets/handheld devices at point of care
