PORT PIRIE REGIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Port Pirie Regional Health Service is a 52-bed acute facilityinclusive of Emergency, Peri-operative, Renal Dialysis,Chemotherapy, Birthing, Outpatient Services, Acute Medical andSurgical Services with a co-located Residential Aged Care Facility- Hammill House.
With over 15,000 presentations through ED each year along withsurgical and direct admissions of patients across the lifespan, theservice is supported by onsite Medical team, SA Pharmacy, SAPathology, SA Dental Service and SA Medical imaging.

Port Pirie Regional Health Service – Acute Medical/Palliative Care Unit (Ward A) – RegisteredNurses
Port Pirie Acute Medical/Palliative Care Unit (Ward A) is adynamic service which provides comprehensive, person-centred carefor patients across the lifespan.
The department is focussed on timely comprehensive assessment,treatment, and medical care for patients, specialising in managingacute medical conditions of varying acuity including bothpaediatric patients, mental health presentations and palliativecare.
Working within Port Pirie Acute Medical/Palliative Care Unit(Ward A) you will be encouraged and supported to further developspecialist skills in areas such as:
* Cardiac monitoring/telemetry
* Advance Life Support and part of MER Team
* Palliative and End of Life Care
* Mental Health Management

Port Pirie Regional Health Service – Surgical/Delivery Suite (Ward C)
Port Pirie Surgical Ward/Delivery Suite (Ward C) is a dynamicservice which provides comprehensive care for post operativepatients, postnatal women, and newborns.
The acute surgical unit specialises in post operative care oforthopaedic, ENT, general surgery, urology, endoscopic and dentalpatients and encompasses a midwifery team led delivery suite.
The unit includes a team of highly skilled and dedicatedmedical, nursing, allied health and support staff who work togetherto provide comprehensive care to patients in alignment with theircare goals.
* Enrolled Nurse: Permanent P/T, 0.42 FTE (16 hours per week)
Port Pirie Regional Health Service – EmergencyDepartment
Port Pirie Emergency Department is a dynamic service which seeslarge volumes of both adult and paediatric presentations.
The department sees patients of varying acuity and is anup-transfer facility for many YNLHN sites. Port Pirie ED is a CodeStroke Thrombolysis centre with 24/7 access to CT andradiology.
The department is staffed and supported by medical officers andsenior nurses providing comprehensive, high-level emergency care topatients.
* Registered Nurse: Permanent P/T, 2.21 FTE (Various Positions)
