Temporary Works Engineer Melbourne | Buildings & Infrastructure A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Temporary Works Engineer to join its growing Melbourne team, supporting a strong pipeline of complex construction and infrastructure-related projects. This role offers hands-on involvement in both temporary works design and construction support, working closely with contractors and project teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions. The Role Design and review temporary works including propping, shoring, underpinning, ramps, access systems, platforms, hoardings, falsework, and formwork Support staged construction, erection sequencing, and buildability assessments Provide engineering input for heavy lifts, craneage support, and lifting equipment foundations/tie-downs Collaborate closely with contractors to integrate temporary works into live construction environments Contribute to constructability reviews and site-based problem solving Project Exposure Building and mixed-use developments Industrial and data centre facilities Institutional and defence-related projects Complex structures requiring staged construction and temporary support About You Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering Experience in temporary works design and/or construction engineering Strong understanding of site constraints, safety, and risk Local Australian experience preferred What’s on Offer Exposure to technically challenging temporary works projects Strong collaboration with construction teams Supportive, technically driven consultancy environment Competitive salary or contract rates available For a confidential discussion, contact: James McLaughlin j.mclaughlin@aspectpersonnel.com.au 0435 832 575
