We are seeking a driven and technically capable Technical Application Sales & Support professional to join our Industrial Solutions Division.
* Successful candidates may be based at any Motion branch within NSW or VIC
Reporting to the National Manager – Technical Application Sales, this role is responsible for delivering high-level technical, sales and service support to drive year-on-year growth and development of the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who thrives in customer-facing environments and enjoys combining hands‐on troubleshooting with strategic sales growth. The role is focused on providing product solutions and alternatives to our customers. This may be through our network of branches, external sales people or directly to our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers and branch teams
* Conduct product failure investigationsand deliver corrective service solutions
* Complete customer calls and branch visitsacross NSW and VIC
* Build and maintain strong relationships with branch networks and business development teams to drive sales growth
* Develop and implement target/key customer strategiesto generate profitable growth
* Deliver product training and technical sales trainingto internal teams
* Complete customer site surveysin conjunction with application engineering and major accounts teams
* Deliver documented safety, reliability and efficiency gainsfor customers
* Actively pursue and submit cost‐saving case studies
* Participate in trade shows and industry expos
You will work closely with Business Managers, Sales Managers, Branch Teams, Application Engineering and Major Accounts teams.
About You
* Demonstrated high-level knowledge in Bearings, Power Transmission products, or Hydraulic, rotary and machined seals
* A relevant formal technical qualificationand experience in similar roles
* Strong customer service, communication and time management skills
* The ability to negotiate, influence and manage technical and commercial discussions at all levels
* A strategic mindset with strong planning capability
* A commitment to safety and safe work practices
* A valid Australian Driver's Licence
* Willingness to travel intra- and interstate
* The ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and relevant technical systems (e.g. CAD or inventory platforms) will be highly regarded.
