A senior resources organisation is seeking an experienced
Senior Projects / Capital Delivery Leader
to support the delivery of brownfields capital works within a
live operating gold mining environment
.
This role is suited to a practical, delivery-focused leader who understands the realities of executing projects
inside operating sites
, where safety, production continuity, and tight margins are critical.
Role scope
You will be accountable for the safe, predictable delivery of capital projects from early execution through to handover into operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading delivery of
brownfields capital projects
within live gold mining operations
* Managing contractors, scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution risk
* Acting as the primary interface between
Projects, Operations, Engineering and Site Leadership
* Driving safe execution, disciplined change control, and issue resolution
* Supporting execution planning, sequencing, and mobilisation readiness
* Ensuring clean handover into operations, including documentation, training and operational readiness
* Providing clear, factual reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks and mitigations

You will bring:
* Strong background delivering capital projects in
gold or other margin-sensitive mining operations
* Demonstrated experience in
brownfields project delivery
within live operating environments
* Exposure to
underground operations and/or multi-asset portfolios
is highly regarded
* Proven contractor management capability
* Ability to work effectively in lean owner-operator environments
* Practical, low-ego leadership style with a strong safety focus
* Track record of identifying issues early and resolving them without noise
