Sorrento at Airlie Eats Pty Ltd atf Airlie Eats Trust T/as Sorrento Restaurant and Bar Airlie

Beach QLD 4802 are looking for a Restaurant Manager and an Event Manager/Organiser on

a Full time Permanent & ongoing basis, for their extremely Busy restaurant at Shop 20 1-

3 Shingley Drive, Airlie Beach OLD 4802, they require 1 Restaurant manager and 1 Event

Manager/Organiser for a busy multi-cuisine Restaurant in Far North QLD.

Mentioned below are the requirements, duties and roles of the right candidate, but they are

not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities: Restaurant Manager.

 Managing and controlling the day-to-day operations of the restaurant

 Implementing budgets in consultation with senior management

 Work along with the Chef in the update of the menu

 Ensuring that budgetary requirements are met, monitoring sales and profit, and being

responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant

 Designing and implementing marketing strategies such as social media campaigns,

signage along with Marketing specialist of the restaurant

 Monitoring customer satisfaction and handling feedback. Responding to customer

complaints and taking action to rectify the issue where appropriate

 Ensuring that appropriate stock levels are maintained by keeping detailed records and

purchasing goods as necessary

 Implementing company policies regarding health and safety\ quality control,

cleanliness and hygiene. Ensuring that employees comply with those polices and all

applicable health and safety regulations at all times

 Organising staff rosters and arranging shifts

 Assisting in the recruitment and selection of new staff in consultation with senior

management

 Training new staff, ensuring that they can meet the company's high service standards

 Supervising and managing staff, evaluating performance and providing feedback and

direction as required

 Meeting and greeting customers, and taking reservations

 Taking special requests such as functions and catering, and planning and organising

those events

COMPULSORY NIGHTTIME JOBS

 Closing the restaurant

 Collect cash, other payments and store them in the appropriate place.

 Make a daily sales report.

 Make sure to clean every single area of the restaurant

 Make sure to Ready everything for next day

 Double check all appliances are turned off

 Dry goods storerooms must be kept clean & orderly at all times & HACCEP

requirements must be adhered to i.e. temperature log, receiving goods log etc.

 Cool rooms & fridges are to be kept clean & tidy at all times i.e. stock to be removed,

interior to be washed out including fridge seals & hinges

Duties and Responsibilities: Event Manager/Organiser

 Planning and designing the event

 Arrange meetings with clients to present them with the various packages that

maybe on offer and what suits them the most.

 Venue selection and management

 Supplier and vendor management as required

 Managing the budget for the event as per management guidelines

 Communicate and collaborate with team members, vendors and attendees

 Risk management associated with the event on hand

 Marketing and promotion of the event on hand

 Organising required registrations if applicable

 Be responsible for the registration and ticketing if applicable.

 Event execution on the day of the event

 Post event evaluation and preparing reports for the higher management.

Job type: full time

Salary offered as per experience: $75,000 - $85,000

Experience: Event Manager/Organiser: 2-3 years (preferred)
