**The Position**
This is a part time role that will see you working in a small HR team, you will report into the Operations Manager. This role is highly generalist and will see you responsible for recruitment, maintenance of the safety management system, ensuring continued site compliance, disciplinary actions, HR reporting, terminations, and other ad-hoc HR duties. This is a busy and complex environment in a global business and will be suited to someone wanting to advance their human resources career and take up a new challenge.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain staffing levels to meet business requirements and assist with the end to end recruitment and induction processes this will include posting adverts, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews, reference checks, drafting of contracts and collating of the onboarding process;
- Manage the site health and safety management system and ensure OHS State Regulations are complied with;
- Ensure continued site compliance and facilitate risk assessments, review incidents and undertake investigations;
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements;
- Ensure HR information systems, manual and electronic are created and maintained as the primary source of employee information;
- Promote & drive employee engagement and support the implementation of site strategy.
**Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Human Resources Officer role, Safety and or Training;
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, or related business discipline;
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and an approachable and enthusiastic demeanour;
- Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment;
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail;
- High levels of organisation skills; a self-starter who can be committed to seeing projects through to the end.
